Research Interests:

I am interested in wildlife movement ecology and the impacts of environmental change. I am investigating these aspects on songbirds using data from stable isotopes, GPS telemetry and citizen-science data. I received a BS and MS in Biology from UC San Diego where I studied habitat fragmentation and edge effects on native species. Before coming to UC Davis, I spent ~14 years working both around the country and abroad in the conservation ecology field.

Personal Background:

I am a first generation university student that was born and raised in southern California. I love science and birds so much that I decided to come back to pursue a Ph.D. after an 11 year break from school. I'm excited to use the skills and knowledge gained in my time at UC Davis toward conserving wildlife and wild places.

I chose this lab because of the inspiring avian research being done and because Dr. Hull was understanding and supportive of me pursuing a Ph.D. degree while also being a parent to a young child.
