I joined the UC Davis Avian Science Graduate Group in 2013.  As a USGS Pathways Student, my project focus is an isotopic diet analysis of the California Ridgway's rail. I plan to reconstruct the historic and modern diet components for this San Francisco Bay resident.  Currently, I am measuring the naturally occurring isotopes in feathers collected by USGS since 2006.  My current area of emphasis is avian physiology and ecology. My early career experience involved passerine breeding and distribution, as well as captive care for seabirds and waterbirds.
