Research Interests:

My research interests lie within the field of avian population ecology -specifically, the estimation of parameters influencing population dynamics of greater sage-grouse throughout northern Nevada. My thesis work focuses on variation in resource selection within/across populations of greater sage-grouse during the breeding season and the variation in risk that accompanies multimodal resource acquisition strategies. Current projects that I am involved in beyond my graduate work focus on the effects of wildfire and pinyon and juniper woodland expansion on sage-grouse demographic rates within the Great Basin and the Bi-State Distinct Population Segment, respectively. I am also responsible for developing and managing a winter diet study for a population of sage-grouse in northeastern Nevada.
